Dadu ("the app") is a multiplayer board game. This policy explains what data the app collects and how it's used.

Playing without an account

You can join a room and play without signing in. To do that you choose a display name, and that name and your in-game moves are shared with the other players in your room while the room is active. Room and game data is stored on our server and deleted automatically after a period of inactivity (3 days by default), or straight away when the host deletes the room.

If you sign in

Signing in (with Google, Apple, or a phone number) is needed to create rooms, earn and spend Gold Coin Tokens, and keep progress across devices. Sign-in is handled by Google Firebase Authentication. When you sign in, we store:

• an account identifier from the sign-in provider
• your email address or phone number, display name, and profile picture link, as provided by the sign-in provider
• your game stats (games played, won and lost, win streak), XP, level, achievements and daily reward progress
• your Gold Coin Token balance and a history of how it was earned and spent
• sign-in sessions, which expire after 90 days or when you sign out

Your display name, level and leaderboard scores may be shown to other players on the public leaderboard. Your email address and phone number are never shown to other players.

Purchases

Gold Coin Token purchases on the website are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. We keep a record of each purchase (which pack you bought and a Stripe reference) so we can add the Gold to your account, and remove it again if the payment is refunded.

Where data is stored, and who we share it with

Game and account data is stored on Microsoft Azure. We share data only with the services named above (Google Firebase for sign-in, Stripe for payments, Microsoft Azure for hosting), and only as needed to run the app. We do not sell your data, show ads, or use third-party analytics or tracking.

Deleting your account

You can permanently delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account. This immediately erases your profile, stats, XP, achievements, Gold balance and transaction history, and signs you out on every device. Payment records kept by Stripe are governed by Stripe's own retention rules. You can also ask us to delete your data by emailing the address below.

SMS invite feature

The "Send SMS Invite" button opens your device's own messaging app with a pre-filled message. We do not access your contacts or send anything on your behalf — you choose the recipient and send it yourself.
